SRI conducts the engineering, fabrication and inspection of equipment for the highly demanding pharmaceutical chemistry industry. This includes equipment such as vessels, reactors and mixing vessels, which we supply both individually as well as system-ready with agitators, appendages and skid-mounted.
The industry demands maximum cleanability and a high-quality finish, both internally and externally. Due to our clever designs, dead spots are avoided and full washability of the internal surfaces is guaranteed. Additionally, all our devices are extensively tested for critical aspects such as drainability, finish and washability. For maximum washability we optionally perform spray ball testing. We have developed a dedicated spray ball test installation with adjustable pressure and flow according to our customer’s requirements. For the pharmaceutical-chemical industry, we often use higher alloyed stainless steels, depending on the process involved (316L, 904L and Al6Xn). All materials must meet high requirements and be absolutely pore-free.
SRI measures all sheet finishes with a pethometer (roughness tester), which is included in our manufacturing report. Our engineers are highly experienced with FDA and ASME BPE requirements. For optimum internal finishing we have developed automated cutting systems, which can be followed by a number of additional (manual) grinding procedures. We deliver our end products with a complete manufacturing report (MR) as standard.
